A friend was out in West Virginia, inspecting some property that belonged to his late parents, and he found this Chevy in the garage. Ran when parked, presumably. The interior looks to be in remarkably good condition. My friend indicated that it's a "1949 Deluxe." Can anybody ID it definitively?

Wow. Can't help identify but it looks like a really cool way to remember his parents.

That's pretty much what they're called. Fleetline Deluxe

Fantastic. Thanks!

there's a higher trim level one too, but I think this is a standard "deluxe" based off of the trim on the rear quarter panel.

Am I correct that the Styleline had more dressing up bits?

Will it be regaining consciousness or continuing in its induced coma?

I don't know. My guess, and it's just a guess, is that it will be sold. But it would be great to see it running again and cruising around.

I believe so.
It's hard to tell with such dusty pics though.

Hi, this is Wayne Carini's mustache, I'd like to make an offer.

Ah, you never know what you'll find in them there hollers and hills. I would know, the house in WV where I grew up was a junkyard before we moved in.

Cats. Why cats like walking on cars so much...is a mystery. But they sure do.

I was looking at the disturbed dust, and wondered what caused it. I hadn't noticed the footprints. My guess is that cats like to be up high and look down on us. Ready to claw us to death.

Yup. Cats love sitting in, on, and underneath stationary cars. My ex's cat loved walking on my car, especially after I washed it. The bugger.

I came across a mid 50s model Cadillac of some variety while surveying near Beckley a few years back.
